Simple and Delicious breakfast

Ok, ok I know that anyone can pour cereal into a bowl and add some beautiful, fresh sliced fruit. So, in a sense, this posting is a little blaaaazaa but as adolescent as it seems I absolutely adore French Special K with Chocolate Noir & I recently have a slight obsession with Agave Syrup.

I don't know why we don't have this cereal in the US. I think if you are getting some good fiber why not throw in a few slivers of high quality dark chocolate to start off your morning right? I feel like American women would be a tid bit more jolly in the morning by starting their day with a tiny sliver of rich dark chocolate! Ahhh it's truly a delightful start to the day and such a better alternative than the American Cocoa puffs which I'm sure is made of 3,549 chemicals instead of actual chocolate. Maybe you can find it at some sort of Intl. food market outside of France. I topped it with some market bought kiwi's, raspberries, blueberries and a touch of my new love, Agave Syrup (just to bring out the natural sweetness of the fruit).

Agave is a natural syrup made from cactus and is a much healthier choice instead of refined sugar. If you haven't tried it you should. It's 1.5 times sweeter than sugar and you don't have to use nearly as much. It's available almost everywhere now. It's also great on oatmeal in the morning and I'm itching to try it in baking as well. It's a healthy choice because of its glycemic profile. It's sweetness comes from a complex form of fructose so it's the same as the natural sugar that comes from fruits and it does not cause a blood sugar spike like other sugars. If you can find it give it a try!
